Working with members of the council, we gave input into the Aston Clinton Neighbourhood Plan to provide expert landscape advice in support of its approval.

Desktop studies and research were carried out about the study area and requirements. This involved a site visit and photographic survey and assessment to enable us produce plans to illustrate landscape aspects of the neighbourhood plan. Elements such as important landscape views and the impact on landscape character areas were assessed and discussed with the study team to agree an approach.

This enabled us to produce plans and recommendations concerning specific areas identified in our work, to be incorporated as a draft brief for planning purposes suitable for approval by the Aylesbury Vale District Council.
The Neighbourhood Plan was subsequently successfully adopted.

One outcome was that a part of Green Park owned by Bucks County Council was included as an important green space by the Inspector and demonstrates how Neighbourhood Planning does have weight within the planning system to identify and protect local green spaces.
