Glebe Meadow, Long Marston is a development Artemis worked on with the fantastic Laxton Properties.

Formerly owned by the St Alban’s Diocesan Board of Finance, the site is on a sensitive location next to the Grade II listed All Saints Church and on the edge of the Conservation Area.

Laxton Properties have always carried out excellent consultation with the local community and acted in the usual joined up manner engaging and listening to Ecology, Arboriculture and Engineering / Drainage from the outset.

‘A particular feature of gaining the planning consent was close consultation with the local community, Parish Council and Planning Officers (all 3 of them, but that’s another story!). We love undertaking that sort of careful, detailed engagement.’ Ed Whetham, Laxton Properties

Planning permission was achieved for a residential development comprising nine new dwellings with associated landscaping, parking and infrastructure and the creation of a new parking area to serve the neighbouring church.
It also provided footpath to connect to the local footpath network

‘In planning terms, we always believed in the site, but it still took a couple of years to gain permission as we worked through various changes in planning officer, pursued (slow) responses from statutory’
